This landmark building sits off of the PA turnpike not far from the Harley Davidson Motorcycle factory east of downtown York, Pennsylvania.  The building was built in the late 1940's by a local businessman that owned dozens of shoe stores.  He at one time gave overnight stays to couples as prizes, usually to honeymooners or retired seniors.  The building houses a bath, kitchen, living room, a few bedrooms, and a maid's quarters as well as a fully equipped 1950's ice-cream and root beer float counter with booths...  Tours are available, but check with the management first.  The disappointment is that photos are NOT allowed of the interior, and no post cards of the interior were available.
