Instructions for Use of the Website
This website is designed by experienced travelers for travelers from the youngest family members to the Baby Boomers & Senior Citizens, their siblings, and their caretakers.
The website is in its new or baby stage and will over the years continue to grow and expand to thousands of pages. To this end the designers have kept complexity of website operation to a minimum by eliminating hidden hyperlinks, drop down or pop-up menus, complex navigational steps, unnecessary pictures, video, and sound bits, and the tons of infinitesimal text and instructions found on many other websites.
(Website is designed for an age range of users from 10 years to 85+ years)
Why is the site so plain looking?
Many Seniors can read well but become confused when confronted with too much information and too many pictures (icons). We are attempting to keep it simple, understandable, and readable with large type and easy to use menus.
Additionally, many seniors have older computers that were donated, or purchased in garage sales, or given to them by their children and these machines are slow compared to today's standards. To load up on pictures would only slow these machines more, thus making the Internet experience a poor experience.
This site has information, lots of it, and tries to present it in small intelligent chunks.
