Car Rental in Foreign Countries
Rental Car Rule Changes for the Elderly
It has been deemed by many of the foreign countries that senior citizens are bad risk and should no longer be allowed to rent vehicles.
It is thus assumed that 20 year olds are a good risk?
I wonder if the United States State Governments will reciprocate by restricting drivers from these countries without any justification or knowledge of driving habits or records?
Here is a listing of foreign countries that have now placed age limitations on those attempting to rent vehicles:

Thus, if you are traveling to ANY foreign country and you are over the age of 65, you should check with your local rental car company or with the country's embassy for the rules on driving age, required documentation, insurances, etc.

Check before hand to view and understand the laws that pertain to renting a vehicle in the country or countries that you plan to visit.
You may find that you are NOT permitted to do so in several countries.
