Vehicle Charging Stations
In Japan there is a move to replace gasoline powered vehicles with electrical powered vehicles, and therefore there is less need for gasoline stations, and in the last decade nearly 30% of Japan's gasoline stations have closed; due to new laws that require tanks over 40 years old to be replaced, and the move toward electric vehicles.
The Japanese decided that many communities still need gasoline stations, and thus the people of the communities are buying old stations and replacing the tanks, and adding Convenience Stores and other shops that benefit the community.
Europe, Asia, and other parts of the world are going electric in an effort to get off the gasoline bandwagon where a small group of companies are manipulating prices, polluting water and lands, and dumping environmental cleanup from their thousands of spills on the local taxpayers. Electric can be obtained from non-oil or coal based sources like solar, wind, wave, geothermal, hydrogen, biomass, yet to be discovered, etc.
The USA leads the world in alternative energy sources, but is far behind in providing it as an alternative to gasoline that is available nearly every two miles as one drives the country; yes there are some stretches of the Southwest and Northwest that do not have gas stations for 50 or more miles.
Now the problem, we are NOT putting EV (Electric Vehicle) charging stations where each is needed, at motels, at state and national parks, tourist attractions, at places of business, at our airports and parking lots, etc. This limits the range of most EV units to under 100 miles, and thus makes it very inconvenient for travelers to find battery recharge or alternate fuel when going on longer trips, such as a vacation.
If you own a motel in a tourist area you should be adding some EV chargers, and advertizing this, you will be tapping a market that needs your appreciation for their plight.
