Vacation time, school is out…

One of the most horrible things done to parents, companies, teachers, and students is to have 'summer' vacation. Why….?

Ok, first is the damage done to the students that have after months of schooling and getting into a pattern of learning; all of a sudden they are on their own, with or without parental supervision for up to twelve weeks. The knowledge learned is now not reinforced; the pattern of learning is partly forgotten; and upon returning to school in September they have to spend the next four to six weeks being again 'taught' on how to study, remembering the last subject, and getting reacquainted with doing study.

To the Instructor, he or she has lost the momentum and the drive needed to help young minds understand the complexities of the universe. This loss can lead to burnout, and disgust at a system that fails to understand that education must be continuous and interactive.

For the parent or parents, he or she has to schedule vacation time around the company and the school system, and thus most take vacation in the summer months of June, July, and August, which to a person that appreciates the fall colors, or fishing in the spring, or skiing in the winter, may not be the ideal vacation. Additionally, many tourism resorts, parks, roads, etc., get jammed with the 'flood' of tourist for a few months, and then sit vacant for the next nine. The money made during the 'touring' months has to then cover the 'non-touring' months and thus, the tourist may have more expensive vacations, more frustrating line-waiting, and more road congestion, and a vacation that requires a vacation to recover.

For the company that provides vacation time, the usual is to 'close' up for a period of a week or two each summer, which can become expensive and also a planning and scheduling nightmare.

The solution: Perhaps we should look into 'Year-round' schooling, with four to six two-week vacations scheduled during the year. This would be a boom to all, and help lower vacation costs while increasing profits and providing more functional and relaxing vacations, and students that can advance faster into their futures…..

El tiempo de vacaciones, la escuela es out…

Una de las cosas más horrorosas hechas a padres, compañías, profesores, y los estudiantes está tener'summer'vacaciones.  Why….?

Ok, primero es el daño hecho a los estudiantes que tienen después de de meses de instruir y conseguir en un modelo de aprender; de pronto ellos están sobre su propios, con o sin la supervisión paternal para arriba a doce semanas. El conocimiento aprendido es ahora no reforzado; el modelo de aprender se olvida parcialmente; y sobre volver a la escuela en Septiembre ellos tienen que gastar las próximas cuatro a seis semanas siendo nuevamente'taught'sobre como estudiar, recordando el último tema, y consiguiendo reacquainted con hacer estudio.

Al Instructor, él o ella ha perdido el ímpetu y el paseo necesitado ayudar mentes jovenes comprendido las complejidades del universo. Esta pérdida puede conducir burnout, y repugnar en un sistema que fracasa para comprender esa educación debe ser continuo e interactivo.

Para el padre o padres, él o ella tiene que programar tiempo de vacaciones alrededor la compañía y el sistema de escuela, y así la mayoría de las vacaciones de participación en los meses estivales de Junio, Julio, y Agosto, que a una persona que aprecia la caída de colores, o la pesca en el resorte, o esquiando en el invierno, no puede ser las vacaciones ideales.  Por demás, mucho turismo recurre, estaciona, los caminos, el etc., consigue atascados con el'flood'de turista por unos pocos meses, y entonces sienta vacante para el próximo nueve. El dinero hecho durante los'touring'meses tiene a entonces cubrir los'non-touring'meses y así, el turista puede tener vacaciones más caras, más frustrando línea - esperando, y más camino de congestión, y unas vacaciones que requiere que unas vacaciones recupere.


Para la compañía que provee tiempo de vacaciones, el usual está'closéarriba para un período de una semana o dos cada verano, que puede llegar a ser caro y también una planificación y programando pesadilla.


La solución: Quizás nosotros deberíamos mirar en 'Year-round'instruiendo, con cuatro a seis dos - semana de vacaciones programaron durante el año. Esto sería un auge a todos, y la ayuda rebajó los costos de vacaciones mientras aumentando ganancias y proveyendo vacaciones más funcionales y tranquilizadoras, y estudiantes que pueden avanzar más rápido en sus @@futures…. .
