Pennsylvania Steamtown Photos

Steamtown post-1984 pictures, Scranton, Pennsylvania, USA

These are digital photos from September 2010.  The Vermont government banned Steam Engines in or about 1984 and the Steam Locomotive museum moved to Scranton, Pennsylvania where it has made its home ever since.  These pictures are post-move pictures.

There are two ways to enter the National Park, one is via the Mall, park downstairs and go to the top floor, entry is though the food court.

When leaving the food court, you will be on a long, long ramp to the Park. Rest rooms are available in the food court area to the left of the ramp.

From the ramp you can get an overview of the Park and the layout of the tracks; and see many older engines and cars.

You may be pulled by this engine if you go on the ride through town.

Ask and you shall receive, the personnel are friendly and willing to help and have a picture taken with you.
