The ABCs of Atrophy ©
I see about a thousand bugs,
Running cross the floor.
They’re rippling up the carpet,
Like I’ve never seen before.
And when I try to show the folks,
Especially those who care.
Bugs run across the room again,
And quickly disappear.
I see a carpet rolling,
It’s rolling back and forth.
I can’t believe it’s doing that,
It’s just a piece of cloth.
Oh yeah?
I opted for another room,
My cat agreed with me.
She saw the same things that I saw,
So weird, how could that be?
Though it was not my intention,
I simply forgot to mention.
The carpet threads grew three feet high,
They topped the bed and reached my head.
I think I have the answer,
And so I will explain.
That never really happened,
Was just a figment of my brain.
I thought I was going to die,
But I didn’t.
Fooled ya,
Ha hah.
