7:30 A.M. minus 15 degrees,
And Im driving to work In this
subzero breeze.
The windshield is frosted,
Im starting to shiver,
Seern~ that the heater
Dont want to deliver.
Im tucking each hand Tween the warmth of my knee
Cause my fingers are numb
And Im starting to freeze.
Five miles down the road,
Just two more and Im there,
Then a geyser of Anti-Freeze
Peppers the air.
Im blocking all traffic,
A drivers worse dream.
They cant pass, I cant move
And were starting to steam
But, my nightmares soon over
And now, Im in luck.
Like an actor on cue
Comes a local tow-truck.
Trussed up on a winch
Like a helpless cadaver,
Undignified? Yes,
But, it dont seem to matter.
Cause Im back on the road.
You all know how that feels
Sure, it cost me a bundle
But, at least, I have wheels.
