On Righteousness

The crowd grew loud and hateful,

The woman stood alone.

That this day would be fateful

Was very clearly shown.

But, the Lord stepped in between them.

There was anger in His tone.

And 1-fe bid the one who had no sin

Be first to cast the stone.

They couldn’t fool this Holy Man,

He pierced them with his eyes.

He took a rod and marked the earth

Exposing all their lies.

And they skulked away that fateful day

Leaving He and the woman alone

Sinners all, they couldn’t stay

And not a stone was thrown.

Now, all you self-righteous people

Here’s a lesson you should learn,

He sees you as you really are.

Let this be your concern.
