Murphy's Law

or

Whatever can go wrong, will.

There's the roast that burned

And the cake the fell,

(they never did that before)

That company's coming

We can tell,

Oh yeah, that's Murphy's law.

Your supper hour's spent

In line at the bank,

Just a few bucks you want to withdraw.

You finally arrive

But its five after five

And the girl quits to count out her drawer.

That's Murphy's Law.

You've scrimped every dollar

And you thing it would "Foller"

That your new mink would sweet joy attain,

But in true Murphy spirit,

The first time you wear it

What do you get, RAIN!

Murphy strikes again!

So, by now you must know

That wherever you go

Or, whatever you do, just beware,

'Cause I'm trying to warn ya'

That around any corner

You may turn and find Murphy is there!
