The Gates of HeavenBy
Gates of Heaven
Dear Lord, I’m standing at the gate How long before I know my fate?
Will angels come and take my hand And lead me to the promised land?
Will I, at long last see your face And live forever in your grace?
I cannot feign perfection, Lord, You know me as I am.
My sins have pierced you like a sword I pray I’ll not be dammed. ~~~ I thank you for your blessing Lord Good friends, good health, and Thee,
And creatures that you put on earth To keep me company.
Sometimes I might be lonely But, it doesn’t really stay.
Your always there to hear my prayers And chase the blues away.
Thank you, Lord.
