Dearest Sewing Machine ©
My sewing machine is so ornery & mean,
When I think that it's under control,
It tears & snags & turns out rags,
And sucks little things down the hole.
We've been together for many years,
And, I'm thinking, right or wrong,
That on the day I leave my job,
I'll take the thing along.
I just couldn't bear to part with it;
When it's my turn to relax,
We'll leave these walls together,
But first, -- I'm sharpening up my AXE!
