How do I find the true meaning
of Christmas, the Birth & its glory?
When each year I'm caught up in the chaos?
It's always the same old story.
There's the frenzy of holiday shopping,
The buying & trimming of the tree.
The cleaning, the baking, the tension,
Is THIS all it means to me?
Did the Christmas Child fit into my schedule?
Was his name on my "Gifts-To-Give" list?
Or, was I too hurried, too hectic, too tired,
To realize 'twas the one name I missed?
Now, the holiday's gone
And I'm sitting alone,
"What was missing?" my mind seems to say.
And His answer comes back
In a questioning form,
"Wasn't this once MY Day?"
