ABORTION ‘81-02’

Where are the babes, a million strong

Who never saw the light of dawn or heard a song?

They cry out from their darkened tomb,

Wailing for their mother’s womb,

Or, do they, like the hounds at bay,

Dog our footsteps day by day.

Reminding us, in shame, our nation

Challenged God in his creation.

Lead us back, O Holy One

And though our deeds can’t be undone,

Put us on your righteous path,

Nevermore, this bloody bath.
