My Cat and Me
by
Hannah (2005)
She's wide awake,
I'm sound asleep,
But I won't be asleep for long.
She'll pat my face,
And Lick my hands,
And nudge me, right or wrong.
She gets up at three in the morning,
and sits outside my door,
Meow, meow, meow, meow,
Can't take it anymore.
I'm feeling half dead,
But I crawl out of bed,
And her breakfast I've put on the floor.
Has a nibble here, and a nibble there,
And she doesn't want anymore.
She disappears into the air,
Can't find the little creep
While I'm searching the whole darn house for her,
She hiding somewhere and has gone back to sleep!
