Feathers ©
Like a feather in the wind,
Catch it while you may,
It only passes by but once,
And Swiftly drifts away.
It may arrive when you are awake,
Or even while you sleep.
Take pen in hand and jot it down,
And then, it's yours to keep.
But, procrastinate at risk,
And the moment may be lost.
For Poetry, like feathers.
That breezy winds accost
And poetry that once did live,
Do disappear into the air,
And never will return.
