Holidays in America may be different than that in other nations, and therefore one traveling to America should know the holiday dates in order to prevent being stranded when things are closed, or overwhelmed when traffic is outlandish.  The following are American celebrated holidays, and although some do force closure of the local/state/federal governments, most do not, but ... you may find highways and stores jammed on these dates...
